Yes!  I really can fly!!!

To do it right, you just teach boys classes differently.  It has to be fun and big and exciting.  Girls just don't think as much about hurling their bodies over a bunch of mats hoping to fly higher than anyone has gone before without any thought of landing.

We are excited about this class because we have a great group of boys (between 3-6 on any given week) that really want to work and learn.  Teacher Kathie Byrd recently attended a conference in Seattle where she learned a lot of new and interesting ways to teach boys.  She has taught gymnastics to girls for four years but is really enjoying the different style of teaching boy's classes.

Featured Class for May and June - Monday 7:00 PM Intermediate Gymnastics

From Left to Right, older sister in back, younger in front:

Emily and little sister Sarah,

Bre and little sister Allie,

Sarah and little sister Kelsey,

Teacher Kathie and her little sister Kaitlynn

This class is our "sister's class!"

Teacher Kathie Byrd says, "It is a regular gymnastics class, but the attitude of the class is different than any other I've taught. Every girl in there has a sister in it, including the instructor! This gym feels like family, and is very family oriented, and this class is a perfect example of that.

These girls are learning intermediate level gymnastics - they are working towards handstands and cartwheels on the balance beams, bridge kickovers on the floor as well as other things, good running skills for vault, and proper body positions on the tumble trak."
